I go by Lain or Ren (they/them). I'm a digital artist with a love for painting unique portraits in bold, colorful brushstrokes. I've been working as an artist for the past 10 years and as a digital artist for 6 of those years.

Terms of Service

Choosing to commission me means you agree to the following terms of service.

As the commissionee:~ You must be 18 or above.~ You must not request or provide any hateful or discriminatory content.~ You must pay half of the commission fees upon seeing and accepting the first draft (end of drawing stage). The other half must be paid within 24 hours of accepting the final product. Payments are to be made via PayPal or ko-fi.~ You must credit me as the artist if you choose to share the artwork. Please do not use what I make for you for commercial benefit.~ You must not use my work to train any form of generative AI or to take part in any blockchain-related technology or cryptocurrency (NFTs).~ Please do not attempt to critique me unprompted. My process is erratic and that is how I like it.~ Please be polite.

As the commissioner:~ I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason.~ I reserve full rights to the commissioned artwork. If you would like me to keep the work in progress and final product private, let me know. Otherwise, I will share it on my socials.~ I allow refunds while the piece is still in the drawing stage. No refunds are offered once painting has begun (note: floating heads do not have a drawing stage and are nonrefundable).~ After the final payment, I will provide the artwork as a high-resolution file, either through email or discord. You may print it out as long as it is for your own personal use.

In regards to the commission:~ Please provide me with images/moodboards to be referred to throughout the process of making the piece. The more information you provide me with, the better I can bring your vision to life.~ I will show you the work in progress for your feedback at 2 separate instances: once in the drawing stage and once in the painting stage. During these 2 stages, any changes can be made free of charge.

After sharing the work in progress, I will wait 24 hours for a response. If none is given, I will take it as approval to continue. If there is still no response after a week has passed, I will consider the commission voided and the fees nonrefundable.

~ At the finishing stage, you may request 3 minor changes to be made free of charge.

Requesting 1 major change or more than 3 minor changes will incur a $20 fee.Minor changes include adjusting layer filters, color gradients, lighting/shadows, etc.Major changes include elements that need to be redrawn such as changing posing, adding/changing background elements, etc.I do the bulk of my painting in one layer, so anything that requires digging back into the anatomy or composition of a piece is a major change.

In your initial email to me ([email protected]) please include:1. Your name or social media username2. The name of the commission listing you would like to request (see commission info for details).3. a) A series of images or a moodboard/inspiration board composed of references that can include: portraits, expressions, hairstyles, poses, body markings, clothing, jewelry, colors, lighting ideas, background elements, borders, etc.OR3. b) A detailed, written description of the information listed above. I recommend that you still provide an image or 2 since it will take me some time to collect visuals and then run them by you for approval.4. Additional notes such as canvas size, what kind of "vibe" you're looking for, etc. You can describe your OC’s personalities and backstories, the emotional undertone and the relationship between your characters (if there are multiple) or anything else you think will help me interpret your vision.
